Freezer meals are something I have never really ventured into. (Meals you make and then freeze for later, not frozen food from the grocery store.) We typically just buy enough food for the week, make enough for that meal, and any extras are left overs. Our freezer is actually pretty bare most of the time. However, I am thinking that with the baby coming, it might be a good idea to have some meals ready in the freezer. I know I will not feel like cooking right away and I am the one that does almost all of the cooking here. I also don't like to eat out too often or eat a lot of processed meals.
My plan is to make a meal or two each week that I can double and freeze. That way when the baby comes, I will have at least 8 or so meals lined up.
I wanted to know if anyone else has experience with freezing meals? Any tips? Recipes?

Turkey chili, lasagna, most casseroles, all freeze well. And a hearty supply of fresh frozen veggies!
ReplyDeleteI made a ton of Persian food and froze it and then just made rice. But that's not so helpful for you;)
