House Inspirations-Dining Area

As we move closer and closer to owning our first home, I have been thinking more and more about what I want it to look like.  It also helps that I had this past week off.  :)

I have seen some pictures of ideas that I love (and that would be realistic).  Our budget isn't going to be much at first and many of these things may take months/years to complete, but it's still fun to have a vision!

So here are some of my thoughts for the dining room....

Our current table isn't in bad condition, but it's an ugly stain.  It's a blond/yellow and will definitely not go well with the hardwood floors.  So, I'm thinking about sanding and staining the table a darker brown and then painting the chairs a brighter color.  Crazy?  Perhaps, but I think it would look really neat!

I would also like to get a buffet/sideboard for the dining area.  I like the idea of a painted one, like the ones below (I had others, but they weren't wanting to show up).  I would probably paint it a different color than the chairs.

I don't know what I will do as far as colors or wall decor, but that's what I'm thinking right now.
